My friend listed me and my kids as beneficiaries on his policy - he has since passed on and I can't claim because I don't have his death certificate and some other form that proves his death. I have been calling Liberty and asking them if there is any other way this can be resolved as I don't want to believe that cases like these just gets closed without a solution otherwise it means that Liberty is sitting with lots of unclaimed funds. Why would they allow non family members to be listed as beneficiaries? i am sure the ombudsman will have a solution to my dilemma.
