Urgent Follow-Up: Two-Pot Withdrawal – Payment Date Required

Good day, I am writing to formally follow up on my Two-Pot withdrawal claim, for which I submitted all the required documentation to Liberty on 06 August 2026. As of today, 17 August 2026, I have still not received any communication confirming when payment will be made. I followed up telephonically on 14 August 2026 and spoke to Thamsanqa, who was extremely polite and professional. He advised me that he had just spoken to the person handling my withdrawal and that payment would be made shortly. I followed up again today, 17 August 2026, and spoke to Karabo, who was also professional and helpful. He advised me that Liberty had received the response from SARS on 13 August 2026 and that payment should therefore be made into my account. Given this information, I would appreciate a clear explanation as to what is currently holding up the payment from Liberty's side. I understand that certain verification processes need to be completed; however, I am concerned about the delays in this process. Compared to my experience with Momentum, where the Two-Pot withdrawal process is completed online and payment is generally made within a few days, Liberty's process has involved multiple forms and documents that need to be completed, signed and resubmitted. There have also been instances where documents sent by Liberty are password-protected, and when the completed documents are returned, Liberty is unable to open them. This creates unnecessary delays and is particularly frustrating when the delay is caused by technical or administrative issues on Liberty's side. I therefore kindly request a solid and specific response confirming: 1. What is currently delaying the payment; 2. The specific date on which I can expect the funds to reflect in my bank account. I would appreciate a definitive response rather than a general indication that payment will be made "soon", as I have already been given this assurance during my previous follow-up. I look forward to your urgent response and confirmation of the payment date.
