Turn around time on claim

I have a life policy with Liberty. I experienced a mild heart attack in November last year which was confirmed by the cardiologist and his reports. I submitted a claim in February this year. Liberty asked me for so many documents which all was submitted. They even asked for all blood test results from. 2012 to 2016 including doctors reports during this time Its obvious that they are looking at every avenue not to pay out the claim. When you provide the documents they require they will come back and request another when you submit that one they will come back and ask for another. In this process they only called me twice however if you miss a premium they will message you or email you daily. Tells me that they only care about your money and not you as a person. Whenever you call them and enquire they say that the claim is with the chief medical officer. It's now been 5 months and still no outcome.

Hi,

Liberty as already responded to me and to my surprise my claim was declined. So liberty waited for me to report them and than provide feedback. Also seems like they declined my claim because I obviously put them on HELLO PETER. Will be canceling all my policies. People need to do the same and call Liberty before they also have a claim on to be disappointed. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman.

Regards,
Trevor

Noted. Have no confidence in liberty anymore so not looking forward to a response. Poor service. When you complain your claim gets declined. I didn't get an outcome for over 5 months. I put a review on hello Peter and than get a declined outcome within 1 hour. Now that's no coincidence.

Hi Elroy,

So I received the same decline letter at 3:49pm yesterday. Not sure what difference your escalation made.

Trevor

Noted. Below was sent

Hi,
I was requested to send this to this email address if I wanted a review.
I want a review as I was advised by my Brooker that Liberty advised that the claim was declined because I opted no to put a Stent but rather have medication.
Irrespective of what I opted for the fact that I had a heat attack the claim should of been approved.
Following the escalation process before I refer to the Ombudsman.
Regards, Trevor
