SHOW ME THE MONEY!
ZERO STARS IS MORE APT!
Hubby just got through with customer service as emails go unanswered and yet still LIBERTY stonewalls. At the end of April we contacted them to notify them that due to the corona lock down there was insufficient funds to cover the debit orders. Their response was quite simply, then the policy will lapse. This is a 7 year policy that has ALWAYS been paid on time, that has garner them much interest etc, I'm sure. We offered to pay the due amount in full plus half of the missed premium for the following 2 months. BUT, this wasn't good enough! So because an amicable resolution could not be made we emailed on the 19th that no more deductions should be made and both the be policies cancelled and info about their lapse clause be provided as, as said, these are two 7 year policies. This was plainly ignored, surprise surprise. This morning both policies were deducted for TWICE! Our finely 'tuned' budget for the month, thrown to the trash. So hubby phones them, sorry the 19th was too late in the month to cancel a debit order, bull dust! If a debit order can be initiated over the phone and effected the next day, it can be cancelled in 5 days. Ask them to cancel the policies, and the reply is "but, but, they've been paid". Yesterday when hubby was on the line with customer service, he asked, so what if I cancel the policy and the lady said she couldn't cancel it because the initial complaint had to be attended to! REALLY! Well, Liberty, YOU ARE ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE YOU COVER AT ALL! We want our money back and the policies cancelled as of the end of April when YOU allowed it to lapse, we would have happily made arrangements if you too would be accommodating and considerate of the strife your fellow South African's, fellow humans face! Ignoring and lying to people who want to end business with you is *********,...
