Provident Fund Payout Problems

On the 30th of June 2025 my wife left the private school had been working for the last 19 years, the HR lady sent her the Liberty Life provident fund papers to fill so she can be paid out and the papers stated she'd be paid out in 20 working days.

We were informed that my wife needs her own bank account as Liberty Life has a problem that the money is paid into our account.

My wife subsequently went to ABSA bank and opened an account and submitted all the relevant paperwork to Liberty, they subsequently came back and insist on three months bank statement, which my wife cannot provide as she has just opened the account on their instructions.

We have not received any feedback from them, and their representative is also not very helpful.
