PATHETIC SERVICE FROM LIBERTY !!!!!!!!!!
Pathetic and shocking service from Liberty!!! I am totally disgusted with the total lack of communication and concern for the policy holder!!!
My debit order on 02/12/2017 was returned. I contacted Liberty on 20/12/ 2017 to send me banking details to make a manual payment. Banking details were given to me by Maletsatsi Motaung who failed to mention to me that the EFT reference had a specific format. I tried to do a payment on the 20th but it was being rejected due to incorrect reference. As it was after hours, I had to wait the next day to contact my bank and then Liberty and was then given the correct reference format on 21/12/2017. I made a payment on 21/12/2017 and emailed proof of payments.
On 27/12/2017 I called and spoke to Kamohelo. Reference for the call was ********** 7. She confirmed receipt of the payment. I specifically told her to ensure that my payment was allocated as I did not want to be double debited. She said I would definitely not be double debited as the payment had already been linked to my account.
On 02/01/2018 I received notification from my bank that my account has been double debited ! And since I had not allocated funds for the double debit one of those debit orders had then been rejected, leaving me with an unpaid fee of R100 as well as an unpaid premium for Jan 2018.
I immediately contacted the call centre and was then told that payments need to made 5 days prior to the Magtape run and that I had made my payment to late. SO WHY THEN DID NEITHER OF THE CONSULTANTS I SPOKE TO PRIOR TO PAYMENT ADVISE ME THAT I WAS TOO LATE ???? AND WHY DID KAMOHELO ALSO NOT ADVISE ME THAT I WAS TOO LATE AND TO ALLOW FOR A DOUBLE DEBIT ????
I now have to wait until 08/01/2018 for the amount to be allocated to my funds and then only can I request as credit from Liberty. So now I have one unpaid premium, R100 bank charges incurred as well as no funds in my bank account thanks to Liberty.
