Non Payment
I have been a member of a Provident Fund with Liberty since the year 2012, paying a monthly premium of R1 500. Then on 5 January 2017, I got retrenched from my employer at Rockwell Diamonds, which subsequently went into a liquidation process (August 2017), which now means they are not operational. I had completed the relevant documentation prior to my departure with the said employer which were then sent to Liberty Life so they can pay duly what is due to me, like they have done with some of my former colleagues who were also retrenched, but I have been sent from pillar to post since, I have been calling them every week for the two months using my airtime to call them, as unemployed as I am, but to this day they have not paid me, citing reasons that my former employer needs to complete the documents whereas the documents have been signed and sent through to them. Finally, on the 14th of November I received a call from one of their employees confirming that the documents were indeed received by Liberty and they would be processing the claim and I would receive payment with to two days, however I have not received anything. I have made several calls trying to find out why they have not payed as promised and every time I'm told that the money will come through in the next two working days but still I don't get paid what is due to me. I am really dissatisfied with their service and unwillingness to carry out their duties. I NEED MY MONEY!!!
