Misinformation to make money

During 2014, I contacted liberty to take out a Retrenchment Policy. At the time I took it out, I had not been with my current employer for longer than a year. I also knew that I would be joining another employer in the near future in order to work closer to home. <br> <br> During 2015, I was unfortunately retrenched. After submitting my claim, I was informed by the Liberty that the claim was rejected as I had not been with the employer for longer than 1 year. This was the first that i hear of it. The liberty broker did not mention it (if he did I would not have taken the policy out). The summary policy document which was sent to me did not mention it. <br> <br> I believe that the information was deliberately withheld from me to ensure that I took the policy out. I also had about 6 other interaction with Liberty when they could have informed me that I was paying for a policy but had no cover. <br> <br> I faithfully paid the premium for about 14 months and at no point during the 14 months would a claim have been honored by Liberty. To add insult to injury, they then continued to make deduction after I cancelled the policy.<br> <br>
