Liblink consultant **** and only interested in commission

I have had Life insurance, Absolute protector plus (OOD) cover, Income disability cover, financial protector cover, living lifestyle cover (WOL), living lifestyle top up cover and living lifestyle extended cover with Liberty going on 12 years now. I have had the same Liblink consultant since 2015 (Louis Van Den Heever). When i started my own shuttle business in 2015, Louis was sitting in my lounge for a consultation. I TOLD him that i am starting my own shuttle service business. (My wife was present during this conversation). He reviewed my extensive policy and told me that nothing needs to change, ALL IS GOOD. Last year during the extensive lock downs my business was struggling and i spoke to Louis to inquire if there was something on my policy that i could cut back on. He assured me that there was nothing to cut back on. I proceeded to cash out my financial protector benefit to just make ends meet. I also had to sell numerous items last year to cover my bills which included the hefty Liberty premium.

Beginning September 2021 i moved over to Capital Legacy for life insurance, and instructed Louis to cancel my Liberty Life cover, but to keep the rest of my policy active. Louis was extremely angry with me for my request and this is when Louis told me that the Absolute protector plus (OOD) cover AND Income disability cover needs to be cancelled too, because Liberty will not pay out if i had to claim, as they have NO cover for shuttle/taxi operators. When i asked him why that in 2015 when i informed him of my new business and career change he didn't tell me this, he said I never told him. YET I DID.

My biggest issue now, is that i have been paying in excess of R800 per month for something i would NEVER be able to claim for if something had happened to me and i was unable to work. What makes me angry is that i had to sell items last year to cover a policy premium of something that i would NEVER be able to claim for.

I submitted the changes of policy form to Louis on 14 September. Louis only forwarded this form for changes to be made on 20 September. 25 September he emailed me saying that the FULL premium would be going off my account as the changes had yet to be made. I lost it! I rep**** by telling him that best he make sure that this is not the case, as i am not prepared to pay another month for something of ZERO use to me.

Today, 7 October i received an email from Liberty telling me i am now in arrears, and that my policy will lapse.

***!!!?????

How difficult can it be to sort this out?????

5 October i called the call centre, asking to speak to Louis's manager. 2 days later i am still waiting.

I want somebody to call me to sort this out, and also to tell me what they are going to do about Louis Van Den Heever from Liblink
