Liberty Life ****** me on the Investment portfolio

I took a 5 years investment policy with Liberty. The Policy was taken in 2015 (February), policy is almost maturing and I’m not happy with the returns so far. I was not getting my annual statements just to check how the investment is doing until this year in July when I called to ask for the statement which I never got in 1st attempt of asking for the statement. The policy that I took increases with 10% every year and when I started my contributions were R500. Only after I had received my statement I realize that it is worth less than my contribution, in fact R5000 less than my contribution. there is a consultant that came to assist me when I took up the policy, why was I not informed when the policy was not doing well all these years? And somebody was sitting with this information for years and not saying anything. The policy to date is worth almost R5000 less than my contributions. I phoned the head office and they confirmed that my policy was on doing well from the day I took up the policy. Now my concern is that I have been paying my premiums every single month without fail and the premiums have been increasing through out the years. I'm on the 5th year which will end next year but instead of being happy with my returns it looks like I have just donated R5000 to liberty life. I was hoping to make money from this policy which should be the benefit for depriving myself those monies all these years. The fact that Liberty has sat with this information and chose to say nothing to me breaks my heart. That means Liberty has done nothing but to ***** from me quietly so.

Just a breakdown of what I had done from my side

Year 1 – R500*12= R6000 Year 2 – R550*12= R6600 Year 3 –R605*12= R7260 Year 4 –R665 *12 =R7986 Year 5 – R732 * 12 = R8784 Total R36630

But to date I have contributed

Year 1 – R500*12= R6000 Year 2 – R550*12= R6600 Year 3 –R605*12= R7260 Year 4 –R665 *12 =R7986 Year 5 – R732 * 9 = R8784 (9 months) Total Contribution to date R34434 Where is the compounded interest that this policy has been generating? Somebody somewhere is getting the salary together with the commission of selling this policy From the day I took this policy to date but I don’t get information. I’m not happy at all Liberty do something, I just cant lose R5000 over 5 years, I could have taken my business elsewhere and I would be receiving interests and I would be happy. but instead I was actually throwing money in the dustbin.
