Liberty life over promise but never delivers. Happy to debit but does not want to pay woman of color

I wrote a review on the 24th of December 2019 and liberty life responded. I got a call from their financial advisor and I was assured that I will get all my contributions and the interest that is due to me when my investment matured. I remember telling the financial advisor that she is my only reason why I'm still with liberty life and if she decided to leave the company she must let me know so that I can also stop my investment with liberty.

When I wrote the review I had contributed a total capital of R34434 (this is without 5 years interest) and my investment was maturing end of March 2020(total contributions from Feb 2015 - End March 2020 (R36660). Liberty life continued to debit R805 till end Aug 2020 bringing my total contributions to +- R42000. My investment matured end of March but because I was assured that I will get all, when I saw liberty life continuing with the debits, I contacted my financial advisor again to find out why was the debit continuing, only to be told that liberty life continues to debit the premiums up until I tell them to stop which was something that I was not aware of. Beginning of August contacted my financial advisor to let her know that I wanted to make a withdrawal, I filled in the form and I waited patiently only to be paid R28000 :-( on the 26th of August, on this same day the debit order was also collected. When I made an enquiry with the financial advisor I was told that an enquiry has been made with the head office and the manager and was waiting for feed back. When I spoke to the financial advisor on the 17th of March 2020 I was told that the investment was around R36000 / R37000 and this was without interest. I keep getting promises that I will be contacted, I will be kept on the loop as to what is happening. I'm also told that the matter is with legal and I must be patient. It has been 2 months of patience and this matter is posing a health risk. I cry myself to sleep day in and day out. I could have taken my business elsewhere but I thought that liberty was a company with a reputation, a company that stands on the agreements and keeps its promises. I was not aware that I was going to have to fight with Liberty to get what I had put in. I call financial adivisor and lastly spoke to the manager Eddy who also promised to give me feedback and nothing has happened since 26 Aug 2020. Other times when I call, i'm told that they will call me back and after a day or 2 I still have to pick up the phone again and call either the manager on his mobile phone or to the financial advisor who often promises to call me back and does not. Is liberty happy to take money from people's account but never wants to pay back? is liberty treating me like this because i'm a woman and of color? if I was of a different color would I be receiving this treatment? I thought that companies such as liberty would help us as African to get our financial freedom but instead liberty is taking from the poor, leaving them poorer. I want my money back, all of it with interest. This issue is draining and frustrating, to think that Its almost 12 months querying only to be receive a promise after promise. I'm tired of waiting, my family needs this money. Now more than ever, the pandemic has cut our salaries and now liberty is making things worse. Liberty I want my money back, Liberty pay back the money with interest please.
