Liberty Life Claims

Back in the middle of August my wife had a unlucky fall off he Mountain Bike. Leg broken in 3 places, Tibia, Fibia and ankle, with the bone out through the skin, a grade 3B break for those that speak Doctor. Evidently you can manage a 3C but your foot probably needs to be missing for that. So she is lying in Hospital thinking well at least while I am unable to work that Liberty Lifestyle protector policy I have been paying for 16 years will cover some of my income while I cannot works. Turns out it is not that simple. After all the back wards and forwards they say they will pay a little money, that part I can sort of deal with but the claims process to get to that point is something else.

When I first visited this site about a month ago to see what other people's experiences were I was shocked how low the review rating was at 1.4, now I am actually shocked it was that high. Clearly nobody in claims has heard the brokers pitch from 16 years ago "would you not want your family to be taken care of if you are unable to work". Must send a shout out to Discovery Health for being execeptional through all the medcal procedures and claims.

It turns out there are lots of people in claims with important titles like assesor, claims advisor, regional manager, national claims manager and very well educated acturies. I hope someone amongst them can work out that if you do not have any policy holders there is absolutely no need for a claims department. Turns out at the end of the extremly unpleasant claims process they send you some called Guarranteed payment periods which is extremly enlightening. I would love to paste it in hear but I am sure the would sue me sensless, but would recommend anyone that is unfortunate enough to own one of these polocies to request it so you can see they really do not plan to cover very much anyway.

Liberty, I am certain will not miss out on the investments they had and the monthly policy contributions that span 33 years from us. It does turn out that we seem to know a whole lot of people with similar policies, want to wish Liberty good luck with them.

If there were ever registered rights to a marketing campaign for self insurance, then Liberty Life claims owns them.

Thank you for your prompt response. You clearly do not have an 8 day SLA like claims. However this works out I hope that your clients do not have a similar experience in the future. There have to be a number of ways that the claims process can be improved from the clients perspective.
