LIBERTY INCOMPETENCE AND NEGLIGENCE - WITH A LITTLE THEFT ON THE SIDE

i have the unfortunate honour of being a customer of Liberty life for the last 30 years. after 30 years 3 policies matured - not difficult to comprehend - unless you are liberty life. i completed all forms etc via the broker and submitted on the 23 April 2020. i heard nothing from Liberty and found one payment in my account on the 4 may 2020. i finally contacted the call centre after discussing with the broker -(no communication with him either) Reference: [***] from call - i received an email a week or so later explaining only why i have lost R10k on the payout of the RAF. i had no idea which policy they had paid. the call centre just ignored my request for information on all the policies. (so they had an opportunity then to correct this) I finally contacted liberty yesterday to find the following: they have just forgotten to pay out the other 2 policies - no one can tell me why. they are ******* - they paid a lump sum on the 4 may 2020 - then took a premium for all 3 matured policies on the 5 May 2020. on the 5 June 2020 they stole the 2 premiums for the "forgotten policies". So I now sit waiting for my fairly large payout - on which they will blame covid for the sudden drop in value. as well as being out of pockets for around R1000 in premiums for matured policies - ie basic theft from my bank account. the solution is dont swear at them - give them another 48 hours to think about it? great customer service dont you think.???? So to all customers out there - not liberty life - they are grossly negligent and *********** - and like many institutions in South Africa - have no problem *****ing your money .the second call was to a Lauren on the call centre - she tried to help but is like most call centres - probably contracted out and the staff actually dis-empowered to do anything material for the customers. My issue is with the management of Liberty Life - if you worked for me - you would be fired . Donny Gordon must be turning in his grave over where his company went
