Insurance Claim - Poor Response

Claim submitted 2March2016 to date no response - nature of claim is as follows: Husband is currently medically boarded - diagnosis Retinal ***mentosis - rare irreversible eye disease which deterioriates leading to loss of sight.-no treatment for this condition.<br> Background: In 2013 my husband lodged a claim with Liberty Life -contract number *** NS Moodley for impairment payment. Claim was rejected based on criteria not met according to Liberty Life- senior consultant M. Harding according to her email dated 5/9/2013 - she stated \?t this stage Mr Moodley would not qualify under catch all as he will still be able to perform most of basic and instrumental ADLs. We cannot pay out the claim on premise that the disease will worsen. Currently : new medical report dated 2016 confirms that my husbands condition has worsened (field/central vision respectively). Second opinion was confirmed by retinal specialist Dr P Lingen on further vision loss from date of diagnosis. All medical reports were submitted for perusal to Liberty on 2 March 2016 and we have not received a reply to date."
