I contacted my broker to find a solution to reduce my costs due to some financial struggles. I wanted to reduce my premium from R1331.86 to something more manageable.

On the 5th of October, a retentions officer contacted me and assured me that my policy can be reduced to R500 per month for a period of 6 months. On the 26th of October, I was debited my original policy amount and an additional R500.

Liberty refuses to refund me the R1331.86. It was agreed that my policy would only debit R500 from my account and Liberty refuses to take any action and issue me my refund or update my policy.
