Ineptitude of Liberty Life

This review mirrors most other reviews on Liberty Life I have read, boiling down to very poor service! either Liberty Life contacted me around 18 months ago regarding an unclaimed policy of my Father, who passed in 2003. SBSA were the executors of the estate and obviously didn't do their job correctly.. I said to Liberty the money would obviously be welcomed but I do not want this episode to be difficult. I was assured it would not be. Then came the email requesting a list of information we no longer have (tax number, executor details etc.). I completed the claim form with the information I had and emailed it back. Numerous emails back and forth followed. I have 2 siblings living abroad for 20 odd years now and I understand legalities are required but could not provide TCS pins as SARS have no record of my Siblings anymore, or could not did not want to assist. Liberty Life then agreed an indemnity form could be signed by my siblings so the funds could be deposited to me, and in this way SBSA, SARS and Liberty have all legalities in order. These forms were submitted on November 6th 2023. 3 emails to info@liberty, 2 further emails to relations@liberty followed since then requesting update to when the payout would happen, with assurance on Liberty we page that a response would be received within 48 hours.. NOTHING received. I called the Call Centre at the beginning of December to be told thay need to do a Tax Clearance.. What happened for the entire month of November.. NOTHING. A number of calls followed, one to a manager (I believe her name was Norma) whom on the phone was polite, helpful and understanding of my frustration, with an assurance that payout would be made by January 5th and an email confirming this would be sent. Again, NOTHING! No email, no payout as promised. Call Centre contacted again on 11th January with assurance it has been escalated and I will be contacted by email with an update. Any guesses at to what happened.... NOTHING!!!!!! The frustration with this is actually quite comical as this is a company who CONTACTED ME TO SAY THAT WANT OR NEED TO PAY ME, but can't even get that right! My father is not at rest yet as he is likely turning in his grave!
