Income Protector pay-out delay tactics

My husband broke his wrist on his right hand on the 5th December 2016. Went for the operation 08.12.16 where I notified Liberty and requested assistance in lodging a claim against his newly aquired "Income Protector" policy. They immediatly sent the required forms to be completed, which was a battle as it was December and everybody was on leave. Come January, have all the forms completed as per request and forward to the opsclaim e-mail address and that is where the runaround starts. Firstly they inform us that the forms are not a requirement - then why send it????? They then send new requirements, of which a report from a physio the****** is required. We inform them that his wrist is still in a cast, but the doctor has sent a complete report on the damage and astimated time for recovery. Not good enough, so we get the physio report and a week later, guess what, they want a new one. They also required a report from our house doctor and they reckon they will liaise with him. After another "update" is received that they are awaiting his report, we phone him. He informs us he will gladly fill in the forms and send them back now that he knows what and who they were for (nice liaising guys).

We have come to the conclusion that they will request new physio reports until the the****** reports that the wrist is healed and they will not have to pay anything to the client regardless of the fact that the previous 4 months we had to make various arrangement to be able to pay our debts, including the policy.

We are also aware that the policy bounced this month as a person can only do so much while not being able to earn your full income.

So awaiting another automated response with no conclusion.
