If Liberty cannot refund 3 policy premiums for a cancelled policy - do you think your loved ones will receive a policy pay out?
Read below most recent email to Liberty on 24 August 2018 below in verbatim...
Liberty has to refund me 3 months of policy premiums. This form is not going to be completed and returned to Liberty. The policy has been cancelled. Why should I fill in a form to re-instate “dishonoured” debit order premiums?
Note the following events and dates please. 1.16 March 2018 - Emailed insurance broker to cancel policy - no response. 2. 22 March 2018 Emailed Liberty directly to cancel policy. 3. 23 March 2018 - Liberty notification received on 23 March 2018 confirming request would be processed in 4 working days. 4. 12 July 2018 - Requested update on cancellation process. 5. March till June - During this time period - monthly premiums continually being debited from bank account. 6. 28 June - I placed a stop order with bank to prevent any further debit order payments. 7. 12 July 2018 Liberty responded confirming cancellation being processed and premiums for April and May would be refunded. 8. 31 July - I emailed Liberty to review if June debt order premium also to be refunded. I complete a form “Application for refund of premiums” and policy cancellation. Emailed to Liberty 31 July. 9. 3 August 2018 - Liberty emailed stating policy is cancelled and no refunds due. 10. 13, 17 and 22 August 2018 - Receive emails from Liberty to fill in form for Authority to Recover dishonoured debits? "We hereby acknowledge receipt of your request for policy changes. As per our previous correspondence please be advised that we are unable to process the policy change due to the following requirements that are still outstanding: - Authority to Recover Dishonoured Debit Form”
11. 24 August 2018 - Emailed full summary of events and timelines. Situation still not resolved.
