Dont Insure with Liberty Life
If I could give minus 5 stars it wouldn't be enough. I've got previous complaints from 17 December & 26 November 2024 regarding this. I had a total knee replacement. The Dr deemed me not fit for work, for at least six months (nature of my work) Liberty Life decided they want more reports (requested it) from a physiothe******. I did supply a report as requested. This morning they claim a physote****** report is not essential to their valuation... Why ask then? They'll pay me only to date the dr's report were completed (7 Nov) not to the date the dr. declared me unfit to work, ignoring his reports as well as the physiothe****** reports they have asked for. This took them a total of 30 working days and not 10 as promised.. I would advise to seriously consider other companies before insuring anything at Liberty Life
They limit/decline my claim on a basis that actually seems like comedy.
It is an income protector claim.
I've submitted a detailed doctors's medical certificate.
They didn't believe the doctor and asked for a physiothe****** report on the matter.
On their assessment they mention that they don't value the physio and her report and use an operation report (which explains the operation) to validate their repudiation of my claim, totally ignoring the Dr's medical certificate.
Furthermore they don't know or can't keep their own records up to date.
With inception of my policy in 2011, I was rated to be on a category 1 occupation.
During August 2022, Liberty re-assessed my occupation, change it to a category 3 and charged me higher rates from there-on.
Miraculously they decided and used it as one of their reasons for repudiation, that they'll work and assess me on my policy inception date occupation. Not the occupation level they forced me in too.
It seems will try to find any reason or excuse to decline/repudiate or limit a claim as far as possible at any cost. It also seem that they didn't update some system somewhere as a normal company would do.
I still would not advise anybody to insure with Liberty Life
