Doctor with Cancer waiting for from Liberty to determine if I should be paid out my income protection or not

Silly to think people are bothered by titles like doctor and professor...pathetic really. When the real doctors and professors don't even flaunt titles like this so Willy nilly. Embarassing really.

On another note. Do not get life insurance/income protection/retirement annuities from Liberty Group SA .

Once you get Cancer...God forbid you do. Let's just say the staging is important in this case..but administration people don't understand surgical or oncology staging. Lol

And you happen to be a doctor who helps thousands of people yearly... Many of whom have or had Cancer.

You have to wait 9 months for any sort of assistance. Like a pregnancy really. Except no joy at the end.

They will ask you to prove that you have asthma...bear in mind I don't... They will make you find the GP you saw 6 years ago. And make you make spreadsheets with ICD 10 codes and diagnoses and dates.

They will make you prove that you didn't have Cancer 3 Years ago... I didn't have Cancer and neither do I have the genetic type. I wonder about the doctors sitting in their fancy offices practicing as (non clinical) doctors and making decisions like this. What about people who don't have family, like I do, to ensure that I have food on the table.

Yes I have a business of my own. But currently I do NOT benefit from it. It works for the staff and community. Bear in mind I am a mother with a family, a husband with a disability and and and. Do I need to say more??

Their excuses will astonish you...and you will be left without an income while you fight Cancer. Yep. No income. Wish I threw around my MBChB more often. But I'm a quiet one. The one behind the scenes. The one doing the clinical work.

How angry do you suppose I am today? Share this far and wide. Share with all the delegates, the newspapers , the media you know. Maybe it reaches someone who cares.

Maybe someone sees the amount of co-payments. Maybe someone helps the patient with Breast Cancer that has had her ovaries and breasts removed. Who received 5 months of Chemotherapy...not to mention the next 3 years of oral chemotherapy needed lol. Maybe someone helps her get to her radiation appointments weekly Maybe someone helps her family survive while she fights to watch her babies grow up.

How angry do you think I am today?? I would love people to "skinder"/talk about this post. I think more than 10k people know me. share this. Post it. Let's see if someone cares.
