Do not take out a funeral policy with Liberty Life

Do not take a funeral policy out with Liberty Life! My mother diligently paid her monthly payment for more than 20 years and now that she has passed away Liberty Life seems incapable of receiving the relevant documentation and processing the funeral claim. I have sent all required documentation 3 times now over the last 3 weeks and I have yet to receive a response. You should be ashamed of yourselves, whilst trying to deal with the grief of losing a loved one and the cost of a funeral you leave the family without funds and the means to bury their loved one. I have called multiple times and your Call Centre cannot even locate my email and just tell me to resend the claim which again goes into a black hole to a team that does not seem bothered to attend to my request. I can only hope that one day when you lose your mother you have had the good sense not to have any policies with Liberty Life who is excellent at taking your funds every month but disgustingly *********** at paying out the actual policy causing more stress for the family. I will be reporting you to the Ombudsman as a next step.
