benefits are short paid as per contracts

Policy does not state 10 day turn around time which they trying to invoke. Nor do they pay the benefit as at the date of actual insured event. I my case all claim forms etc was was liberty on 11 may although op was 12 may.I had my broker specifically requested if they need any further info and the claims underwriting dept said they all have is in order on 14 may 2015 was told they need one more report .why did they not request it on 11th when was asked?at 17h45 out of my icu bed I got the required form. Now the event actually occurred when the cardiologist diagnosed the heart problem on the 5th may 2015 as per his report iro the anagram. However the payment should be for all intensive purposes be done at date of the event the 12 may 2015 and that is the date the risk which was insured for was transferred to the insurance company who was willing to take my premiums without even giving me a complete policy for 2 years .Now that I am calling on contract,i now get called to tell me that they will only pay out the amount but not pay me for the period from the date that risk transferred according to contract to date of payment.this one part of query
