Annual Retirement Payout

I contacted Liberty in February 2015 regarding my RA to find out if i am able to get my money.<br> <br> I have been trying for the past year to get my money out as i have not been paying on the RA. I resigned from my previous company who had taken out an RA with Liberty and i was told that because the amount was R 7800 they would not pay my money out to me because only funds that are less than R7000 can be paid out. I have even gone so far as to ask if i could surrender the policy or withdraw a certain amount from the policy and they keep saying no. I am well aware what the terms and conditions are of the contract but i find myself in a financial situation where i need money for medical reasons and had to put myself in debt to cover my medical fees/shortfalls as Liberty refused to give me my money!!!!!!<br> <br> In my opinion, this is extremely unfair and unjust. The premiums were deducted from my salary. As mentioned, I am aware of the T&C's but i question Liberty Life's commitment to their clients and find it absolutely shocking that they are not prepared to accommodate me in AT LEAST some way. <br> <br> I expect that someone more senior contact me ASAP.<br> <br> Hoping for a favorable response!<br> <br> Jill Cicero
