Carried a dead baby for 24 hours and libcare couldn't authorize hospitalization

I had a very traumatic experience with Libcare

I joined the company on 01/07/2019 but wrote my pct tests in May. I did not know that I was pregnant while going through the induction.

I fell sick end July and I went to the go beginning of August 2019. He referred me to gunaecologist as he could not pick up what the problem was. On the 20th August 2019 I visited the gynae and told I was pregnant... And already I was part of the scheme I didn't k ow even think they would say I didn't not disclose how do you disclose something that u did not even know... I kept visiting the gynae paying cash and sending receipts to libcare and they kept refunding me until on the 17th December 2018 my last check up with the gynae I was in so much pain that I thought I am in labour only to find out my baby's heart beat had stopped.. I called libcare and they refused to authorize as they refer to as none disclosure I carried a dead baby in my womb for almost 24 hours went to government hospital for help which they didn't even help me I was left in trauma and pain with no help. Nobody cared... Late in the afternoon around 7 pm I got an email for pre authorisation but to be liable for the hospital payments. I mean of I knew I was pregnant and hiding the pregnancy why was I comfortable going to the gynae and claiming the money bk. I joined libcare as it was part of the employment package so why am I being penalized about it.

I gave birth to a still born, in so much pain and trauma as I asked myself why did they even offer me a medical aid package cus they couldn't even help me at the time of need.. I have 3 days in hospital now they haven't discharged me and am sitting with worry of burying my child and having to pay the hospital bills as I don't even know if libcare would pay the hospital

Very disappointed member who is traumatized to have such an experience as 28 days old. It's painful carrying a a baby that u know had long died in ur womb. Member no ***3 Kp tlolane.
