Unprofessional and disappointing service!

After I did a special trip from EL to PE to ensure that the inventory is perfect (as I was told in no specific terms that only the items on the inventory will be brought, anything else will be an extra charge) and paying the whole amount upfront, as I requested.... Upon the move arriving in EL it was immediately evident that there were MANY things brought that were in fact NOT on the inventory. In the chaos of trying to find a spot for everything that was not on the inventory, it was only a few days later that I realised one of the most important things on the inventory, a parasol and stand (that I could never fit into any car) were not brought.

After enquiring from the owner - (a few times before I got a response) I was told that the staff told him it was not in the garage... after sending him a photo of the stand and parasol, still in the garage, the staff changed their story and said my friend, who had to open up for them and he said they must not take it... A blatant lie!

He has said from the start that they asked him if they should take it and not being involved at all with the content of the move his response was naturally "I don't know, if its on the inventory, then it must go"....

After 1st lying, they had the nerve to then blamed an innocent bystander.

I accept that mistakes can happen but not taking responsibility for the negligence of your staff is unacceptable.

It has now been almost 5 month and many emails later, most of which were ignored, I still do not have the parasol. It is summer and it is needed now, I cannot "wait" until one day another move comes to EL - any owner, taking responsibility and wanting to protect his business and good name would have cut his losses and loaded the parasol on his bakkie and brought it through himself!

So disappointed!

Unfortunately I never saw the 2 previous reviews that were also negative. Stay away!
