Washing machine repair

Bought a 7kg front loader washing machine around February 2011, the washing machine came with a 10 years warranty direct drive. The machine stopped working in October 2016 and I logged a call for repairs on 31 October 2016. The technician came and changed some parts but still the machine didn't work. He took his time and failed to update me properly until I complained around February 2017. In March 2017 he came and said he is unable to fix the machine and that was it from him. I called his supervisor who told me I must send them the serial number which I did. The supervisor said she also wants a receipt which I told them I don't have it since the machine is old. She said she can see that the machine was manufactured in December 2010 but still refuses to help without the receipt.

My issue is if LG as the manufacturer can see that the machine was manufactured when, why does it refuse to help. And how can their own technicians fail to fix their own products. Because the machine came with a 10 year warranty on the direct drive I expected it to last for at least 10 years. The machine is less than 10 years old and the manufacturers refuse to be accountable.

LG must either fix their product or give me an equivalent replacement.

And it takes them more than 5 months to solve a query.
