TV issues just out of warranty

SO Frustrating...when you spend extra on a Trusted brand name, the product becomes faulty, just out of warranty... Also for a known Common Fault, apparently as confirmed by the Cape Town LG Technician. Price to fix the TV R15 000. Price I paid for the TV R20 500(Including a soundbar). Price for a new TV R10 000.. Several Escalations and attempts to try get this covered under warranty to NO AVAIL. Several emails and calls and following escalation procedure etc.. and NO LUCK.... Not a single person at LG can assist and everyone states the obvious that its out of warranty.

So LG, You win the battle..... I give up now and accept I made a BAD choice. Had I known the TV would wor perfect only till outside warranty, I would have boguth a different brand. I paid R20 500 for a UHD TV and just 28 months later, the TV Develops the Common BLACK Line problem. Surely if its a known problem you should sort this out. But like I said, I now give up fighting this, but I want to make sure that other trusting customers are warned about the product defect so they do not make the same mistake. In the mean Time, I will look for a new TV and it certainly wont be a LG. Regards from a soon to be ex customer and supporter. ==========================================

Below was the initial call placed to your LG help desk. The type of inquiry : Parts or Accessories Product/Model No. : LCD TV ( 33" and over )/55UB850T Hi See attached. I have this black vertical line on the TV. Tested other inputs and still exists. Also did Picture tests (Picture to show the line can be sent - Its simply a single 1mm thick black line running from top to bottom of the screen) Now I know I am just out of warranty, but was hoping you could still assist under warranty for following reasons.

1) I bought the LG brand as I trusted it would last beyond 2 years

2) I hardly ever watch this TV as I have a TV in the bedroom which I use all the time, if you can check usage you will notice it has VERY little hours ever watched on it.

3) I was in JHB mostly for 4 months from April, during the time the warranty expired, I have all my flight tickets to prove this. So had I been home I may have noticed it DURING warranty cover.....

4) I googled and also spoke to a LG technician who says this is a common problem. So bearing the above in mind, I was hoping that LG customer service could assist with fixing the issue ? I would really appreciate that and hope we can resolve. Attached is a pic of the issue as well as the warranty. Bought at your Canal walk Branch. Thanks again
