Think twice before buying LG products

At the end of November 2016, I visited Makro to purchase a new microwave oven. I bought an "LG" (44 liter) microwave oven (against my better judgement). Until this point, I had been using my Samsung for more than 7 years already (which still - after 7 years, functioned as well as it did the day I got it). The only reason that I was buying a new microwave was because my family had grown & I needed a bigger microwave. I also only had a limited funds. I was also persuaded (by the salesman) to take the "Extended Warranty" because (as he told me) - "if something goes wrong and you have the extended warranty then we replace on the spot and you don't have to be without a microwave".... well, well. In the first week of September this year, the LG microwave became faulty. It wasn't heating up anything or cooking anything. I returned it to Makro and with much ado I was told that it had to be sent to the technician. I was then told that the repairs could take up to 6 weeks and would have to be without a microwave until the technician reported back. This infuriated me because I had been **** to Macro staff, was now without a microwave and a stove at home that also doesn't work. Since then I have received updates telling me that LG are "still waiting for parts" to repair my microwave. It's a month now that I have been battling to cook, and I am disgusted with LG. I expected better from them (considering that they are supposed to make products of high quality). That being said, I now understand why friends warned me against buying LG products and due to their lack of decent customer service, "couldn't care" attitude, I will NEVER purchase any LG product again (& like I was warned - I will now be warning others to rather steer clear of their products). In future, I will purchase other brands - even if that means paying a bit more for an item. LG has inconvenienced me and at great cost to my pocket and simply don't care. This is exceptionally sad, considering that this this was my first LG product and will also certainly be the LAST
