Official LG Repair Center destroyed my monitor that requires cosmetic repairs.

My LG 29" Ultrawide monitor was in perfect working condition except a clip had come loose from the backing of the monitor to the LCD screen. I took it into Liptronics/Brainwave (which I got off the LG website) in Parow for them to repair on 14/10/2020. They called me back on 21/10/2020 with a quote to replace the screen because it was cracked!

The monitor only required cosmetic repairs which I didn't want to attempt myself for fear of causing damage. I instead took it to the 'professionals', paid R250 to check it in, only for them to completely destroy a R5000 monitor!

I then had a very upsetting call with Neels, the owner of Liptronics/Brainwave who took no responsibility for the damage to my monitor. He said categorically that there was no way it happened at his business as he has video evidence that nothing went wrong on his side. When I asked to look through the video evidence he said he hasn't seen it himself yet! What a joke!

Is this the service I can expect to get from LG? An LG Service centre just destroyed a perfectly working monitor that went in for cosmetic repairs.

I need to hear back from LG urgently on this matter as their official repair center is unprofessional and *********.
