No spares for older machines - not on!

I purchased a LG front-loading washing machine in 2007, and up until now it's worked just fine. Last week the machine stopped spinning, and I have taken it in to be repaired. I have been informed by the technician,, and when I phoned the LG spares department myself, that the washing machine has been discontinued, and that the problem is with the machine's mainboard, which cannot be fixed! I was told that spares are only carried for the newer machines.<br> <br> Now, had I known at the time of making the intial purchase that an LG washing machine is a throw-away item should it break in a few years, I definitely would have gone with another brand.<br> <br> So now I guess I'm in the market for a new machine. It definitely won't be another LG.<br> <br> Seriously guys - very poor show!<br> <br>
