No parts for LG TV - TV didn't even last 3 years!
My previous 55 inch TV, a Samsung, was replaced by my insurance with an LG 55 inch TV 3 years ago, due to accidental damage of my Samsung. I had the Samsung TV for 9 years and it never gave any problems. I have another Samsung 48 inch TV in another room and it has lasted for 12 years. Having said that, this LG 55 inch TV, has now, after 3 years, stopped working due to the backlights. LG now doesn't have any parts for this specific LG tv! After only 3 years, you don't have any backlights or any spare parts for that matter. So due to blown backlights, I am now expected to throw the TV away and buy a brand new TV! Ridiculous, I am NOT HAPPY to say the least. How can LG bring out a TV with absolutely no spare parts. This is absolutely unacceptable. How can my Samsung TV's last for 10 plus years and after 3 years my LG is not repairable????

11 Dec 2018, 15:09I did receive feedback from LG and as I expected, they confirmed that this model TV does not have spares available at all and I am not able to replace the backlights, I need to replace the entire screen, which is about the same price as a brand new TV. What is the use then. After 2 and a half years I have to throw my tv in the dustbin, I cannot do anything with it, unless I replace the entire screen, which is going to cost me an arm and a leg, so I have to buy a new one. I am not a happy customer. Where in the world is it acceptable that a tv only lasts 2 and a half years???? I understand that these backlights could have blown, but now I can not replace them? I expect a solution for the problem LG, if you cannot supply me with backlights, supply me with a new screen free of charge. It is not my fault that you don't have spares. And it is also not my fault that your TV's don't even last 3 years!!!!!

So this is supposed to make up for the fact that my TV is completely useless after less than 3 years and I have to throw it out on the dustbin because you don't have parts??? I now still have to fork out a huge amount somewhere to replace my TV and you think it is sufficient to provide me with a discount (which by the way, I could have gotten on Black Friday or on Christmas specials for that matter in any case).

As per our previous response directly to you from our management , due to the age of your unit and backlight technology not being available at that time , we are unable to support , hence a discount on a newer model has been offered to you.
