No back-up after warantee period.

After requesting advice from LG in South Africa in regard to a fridge, with built in ice-maker, I was told they could not help me. Although I realise the appliance is well out of warranty, I was hoping for some kind of guidance in what could be done to rectify the unsightly bubbling and blackening of the area around the ice/water dispenser. One cannot help but wonder if there is not an inherent problem with the sealing of this area. Nice to know that LG really cares!
