Life span for double door fridge

I bought a fridge four years ago with 10year motor warranty, the fridge was broken since August. LG sent someone to repair the fridge and apparently the motor problem can't be fixed. The guy sent the report to LG and they promised to call me so we can discuss the way forward, we have been waiting since September. Everytime we call, they promise to call back but they never call. I'm really disappointed at LG, how does one buy something that expensive and only use it for few years. The fridge I bought before this one is still working and in good condition.
