LG's stink repsonse to ciustomers for inferior products not of good quality

Here is my previous complaint: https://www.hellopeter.com/lg-electronics/reviews/lg-flawed-microwave-oven-mj3965bis-39l-neochef-*** This is the response of LG on Whatsapp: Hello, Thank you for contacting LG Whatsapp chat service, my name is Reuben. How can I help you today?

Thank you for your patience. Please see below response from management: Kindly advise the customer to take the unit in for repairs as it is out of the 6 months CPA warranty. The service center will check and repair the unit as it carries the 2 year warranty from date of purchase.

We cannot exchange the unit with the one the customer is requesting as that is not the process based on the CPA rule.

Section 56 (2) of the Consumer Protection Act, No 68 of 2008 reads as follows:

“Within six months after the delivery of any goods to a consumer, the consumer may return the goods to the supplier, without penalty, and at the supplier’s risk and expense, if the goods fail to satisfy the requirements and standards contemplated in section 55 (Consumers rights to safe, good quality goods) and the supplier must, at the direction of the consumer, either:

Repair or replace the failed, unsafe or DEFECTIVE goods, or Refund to the consumer the price paid by the consumer for the goods.” if say a microwave has numerous and varied problems and the sum of those problems allow for an objective finding that the vehicle is indeed materially defective or damaged; then clearly the microwave itself is defective and one can then legally insist on a replacement or a refund in full.

CPA gives the consumer the choice of repair, replace or refund.

The CPA also applies to all unsafe, damaged and DEFECTIVE goods; provided they are bought from a supplier acting in the ordinary course of his business.

Satisfactory quality Goods shouldn't be faulty or damaged when you receive them. Fit for purpose The goods should be fit for the purpose they are supp**** for, as well as any specific purpose you made known to the retailer before you agreed to buy the goods. Will be durable and usable for a reasonable period of time.

This oven is not of satisfactory quality and not fit for the purpose I bought it for. It was giving me troubles since DAY ONE. I reported this to the dealer. They told me LG said they must swop the unit. NOt long after receiving the replacement, the SAME problems started all over again. This is an INFERIOR product and this matter IS COVERED UNER THE CPA. This product is not of good quality. I understand there will be price difference to swop MJ3965BIS for the MA3884VC. I am not THAT stupid. It is unfair of LG management to say I must take in for repairs, after I had the SAME CONSISTING problems with the first unit. Loud banging noises while oven is in use, sometimes turntable not working, contiious F1 errors, malfunctions when preheating the oven.

I will take this matter further if necessary, meaning to court.

Seems LG does not CARE about it's customers and give them stinky short answers. You give me a FULL refund for this oven, then I will buy another GOOD QUALITY product, that will be DURABLE AND USABLE for a lenght of time. I do NOT have to opt-in for repairs again. I use this oven everyday and NEED an oven everyday.

THE CPA CLEARLY states if the suppliers is LONGER than the CPA warranty, the suppliers warranty must be met in the same way as the imp**** 6 months warranty.

For how long is the warranty operative? The warranty is operative for a period of three months, or such longer period as the supplier may specify in writing. The warranty is also concurrent with any other deemed, imp**** or express warranty.

It is the consumer’s right to chose either of the above and a supplier/retailer may not decide for the consumer. If the goods break again after six months, the consumer may return the goods within three months for a refund or a replacement.

Consumers have the right to return unsafe or defective goods and request a full refund for such goods, provided this is done within a reasonable period. (Which is in the warranty period, and AFTER the unit has already been replaced and still malfunctioning)
