LG's fault OR VODACOM's??confused and frustrated!!

About a month ago I went to Vodacom in Boksburg to purchase a new phone. I use to have a Samsung S3 with which I was very happy throughout the 3 years that I have used it. Going with the idea of getting another one maybe just a newer version, the consultant pulled my arm to try the new LG G3 Beat as she made it off as the best phone on the market. I took the LG G3 Beat, buying the handset cash, and opening a contract for the airtime that come with it, with GREAT REGRET!!a Month later my phone does not work. It freezes each time I type a message, make a call, etc, it freezes so bad that I have to take my battery out to get it to restart. Working in a dangerous environment does not make it any better. I took my phone to the Vodacom I bought it from where they told me that it is the software, a technical guy then took my phone and tried doing an update. it didn't work though as my phone already had \the latest software". I was told to send it in to Vodacom itself where they will have to reset it and update another software. Why should a brandnew handset be sent in for software updates? And why wasn't I told about this during purchase? I REGRET not buying that Samsung.Really disappointed"""
