LG Refuses to Take Responsibility for Damaged Fridge Despite Witnesses and Supporting Evidence
We recently purchased an LG fridge at a considerable cost, expecting to receive a brand-new appliance in perfect condition. Instead, we have been left with a damaged fridge and an extremely disappointing experience. When the fridge arrived at our home, the box was opened for the very first time in the presence of several witnesses. It was immediately discovered that the fridge had dents, despite the packaging itself being in good condition with no visible damage to the box. Several people witnessed the opening of the box and the condition of the fridge. They were even willing to provide sworn affidavits confirming what they had seen. However, LG was unwilling to accept this supporting evidence and has continued to refuse responsibility, blaming the delivery company instead. We have made every effort to resolve this matter fairly and have tried to provide evidence to support our *** of what happened. It is extremely frustrating to feel that our evidence and the willingness of independent witnesses to confirm the circumstances have not been given proper consideration. I would also like to make it absolutely clear that the company we purchased the fridge from has been doing its best to help us. They have stood by us and have been fighting alongside us to obtain a replacement. We sincerely appreciate their efforts and have no intention of blaming them for this situation. They have been trying to help us resolve a problem that has left everyone frustrated. Our disappointment is with LG's handling of this matter and its refusal to work towards a satisfactory resolution. We paid a substantial amount of money for a brand-new LG fridge. We did not purchase a damaged appliance, and we should not have to fight so hard to obtain the product we paid for. When a problem arises, we expect a manufacturer to investigate the circumstances fairly, consider the evidence available and work with its retail partners to find a reasonable solution. Instead, we feel that responsibility is simply being shifted elsewhere, while we, the customers, are left caught in the middle. This experience has seriously affected our confidence in LG. It is not only about the dents on the fridge anymore; it is about how a customer is treated when something goes wrong and whether the company is prepared to listen to the evidence presented. We are asking LG to reconsider its position, properly review the circumstances and the available witness evidence, and work towards replacing the damaged fridge with a new one in perfect condition. We are grateful to the retailer for standing by us and doing everything possible to assist. We simply want LG to demonstrate the same commitment to resolving this matter fairly. We paid for a new fridge, and we believe it is reasonable to expect to receive one. We hope LG will take this complaint seriously and provide a satisfactory resolution.
