LG - Poor After Market Customer Service

I purchased a number of LG appliances in May -19 this year from an authorised stockist in Dunkeld. The washing machine control button became a bit sticky and being less than a year old, and therefore thought it best that I report it to the store I purchased it from. The store duly logged the service request with LG. Four days later I receive a call at 16h00 from the LG technician to enquire if he could come to have a look at the problem. It was by luck that I was home that afternoon, otherwise I would of had to wait another day/s for a LG technicain. The appropriate manner would of been to make a prior appointment, to the convenience of both parties. The technician nevertheless arrives, and I visually show him the problem, then he reverts to inform what is the problem, I yet again request that he roll the control button and at a certain point he'll feel the problem. He then moves the machine to commence with the repair. After completion he sticks in the machine uneven into the builtin slot, this was annoying, but I realigned the machine to be aesthetically pleasing. Whilst he was at my home, I also had a problem with the LG Double Door Fridge , meaning the fridge door shifts open to it's fullest once opened. I requested the respective technician's assistance, he takes a look at the problem and reverts that I must adjust the feet of the fridge. I then request if he can possibly assist me in this regard, noting he had the tools, he just looks at me, then takes his tools and walked out of my apartment without a word. This was rude and inappropriate and unacceptable. If he did not want to assist based on whatever reasonable explanation, I could of understood, and come to terms with same. Based on my initial meet and to the very end I would say that LG needs to train their technicians on customer centricity. It's appalling to be disrespected by a company that you support. LG might have a good product, but their customer service needs questioning. For a company fighting for market share, it amazes me that their attitude remains questionable. I forwarded a complaint the same day to LG, I received a message the following day that management will be in contact. Three days went by and I then reverted to inform that I have still not been contacted by LG management, yet again I was promised a call, to no success. Sad but true, from LG's Management to their technical staff, there appears to be no committment to customers satisfaction. Samsung is also an excellent product and maybe a shift in loyalty to a different brand might be an answer. I might just be one unhappy customer, but never neglect to count your pennies before you count your pounds.

I was contacted by a senior female manager from LG who confirmed that she'll have a technician sent out to have product (fridge door) seen to. To date I have not heard from the respective LG customer services manager, nor was an LG technician sent out to me. The sad reality now is that the product was damaged in this waiting period due to LG not responding timeously. I am now sitting with a product that has a flaw due to LG's lack of urgency. I must state that I am very disappointed in LG, because the after sales service is minimal to zero, and it says alot about a large company. The respective Senior Manager that called and promised to have a technician come out, was never to heard of again. Sad but true, LG has no after sales service on their products, the competition on the appliance market is tight, with this type of service offering, LG is heading for difficult times.
