LG = PATETIES!!!

STAY FARRRRRR AWAY FROM LG PRODUCTS!! Jan Z | 17 Sep 2019, 16:49 I bought a LG DVD player 2013/4 from Makro in Cape Town (CT) as a standby DVD for in case one of my DVDs goes unserviceable. I unpack/opened up the DVD 3 years after I bought it. I switched the DVD on and it played for 10 minutes. I switched it off and when I want to use it again it did not switch on! I took the DVD back to Makro in it's original packaging to have it changed under guarantee. Makro refused to change or have it fixed under guarantee, because it was "out of guarantee" and advised me to take it to LG in Milnerton CT to have it Fixed. The person at LG fixing DVDs was out on the road and I was advised to leave the DVD there but must pay R250.00 for the person, up front, who is going to "look" at it plus repair cost!! I paid R299.00 for the DVD at Makro! I refused to pay R250.00 and left the DVD at LG repair centre. I took the warranty and fixing issue up with LG in Head Office Johannesburg. LG refused to fix or replace the DVD player under "GUARANTEE" and I had to go to CT 700 Kms from me to fetch it. I normally go to CT once or twice every 3 years! After arrangements were made to go to CT and pick up my DVD from LG CT to have it fixed in November 2017. (the first time I went to CT again in a very long time) LG refused to hand the DVD to me unless I pay storage fees! I refused and return home! Arrangements were previously made by Natasha from LG and LG in Milnerton CT to collect the DVD. It was discovered later that my DVD was gone and apparently the reason why I could not get my DVD was because it went "missing" The DVD was later discovered by LG and delivered to my house three months ago!! On receiving the DVD it was discovered that it was 2nd hand, scratched, not packed at all and been removed from it's original package material. The DVD was without it's manuals and connecting cables, so that I could not use it. I took the DVD for repair and it was found that the DVD had been "used"or been sabotaged as loose pieces from the power pack was inside the DVD, "Blown up"! It was also discovered that the DVD was made in 2010 and the Technician could not find spares for the DVD too fix!! THIS DVD Cost me in the region of R2300.00 for fuel, telephone calls, time and effort for nothing!! I had excellent service from Natasha at LG Johannesburg but no service from LG as it could not afford to fix a product in it's original packaging under guarantee, or for R299.00 to replace the DVD!! I assume LG is struggling financially and could not afford R300.00 to replace a brand new product. Even worse is the LG company in Milnerton that refused to open up 4/6 *****s to determine ("LOOK") what's wrong with the DVD. LG "looks" or inspection will cost you a minimum of R250.00 per "look" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....................................... PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ANY LG PRODUCT- NO SERVICE! Unhappy customer

HUL KON NIE EENS MY DVD VAN R300.00 soos hierbo beskryf vervang nie!

Ek sal my storie bly vertel, totdat LG my splinternuwe DVD wat hul opgemors het vervang!! Ek is 'n pensionaris en kan nie 'n DVD speler bekostig.
