LG NEO CHEF - WORST SERVICE EVER!!

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!

Let start at the beginning. Was warming my daughter's food one evening and noticed that the microwave is no longer warming the food. I took the microwave back to the store where i bought it (Hirsch's) to booked it in under the warranty to have it checked out. They charged me +R600 admin fee to assist, they refused to assist before paying the admin fee. I called LG head office who advised they never heard of a admin fee before and that i;m welcome to take the microwave to the LG service center to have it repaired. Few days later i took the microwave to the LG service center. The technician advised that i would need to pay for the device to be assessed and he can guarantee me that the board failed and possibly the magnetron and would be +-R2500 to have the repaired. I then asked if it would be better to just buy a new microwave and was advise yes cause if they replace the board I'll only get a 3month warranty on the new part. took my microwave and went home as i will not be paying R2500 to have the microwave repaired under warranty

I then contacted my insurance who send sent out a assessor who confirmed that there is nothing wrong with the board and the Magnetron has failed. Today (15/11/24) i took the microwave back the LG Service Center with this report. They advised that i will still need to pay the R300 service fee for the technician to check the device even though it was already assessed. I advised then that i just want the magnetron replaced and the board was checked and is fine. LG then said I'll have to pay the R300 and if the board is faulty, they will give me a quote and i can decide. If the board is faulty (Which it's not) and I want the Magnetron replaced they will provide me with the part and I would need to fit it myself and my warranty would be voided.

HONESTLY THE WORSE SERVICE EVER! WHY SHOULD I PAY TO HAVE MY MICROWAVE REPAIRED AND CHECKED IF THE WARRANTY IS STILL ACTIVE?
