LG G6 stopped working after update

I have an LG G6 phone which I absolutely loved. The speed and memory and dual camera.

I got this phone on contract with Telkom not even a year ago.

One day it did an update which i could not stop or prevent and my phone switched off. I then put it on charge and it came on for about 5 Minutes just the Opening screen and went off. And it has not turned on again.

I am very dissapointed as I am still paying for this phone which is now just lying in my cupboard.

I had taken it to a cellphone repair shop who was going to give me a quote to repair, but they got back to me saying it is irrepairable, and that they have had numerous clients mentioning that after an update or something alot of the phones stop working.

It am really dissapointed that the LG G6 does not last that long and I am honestly too scared to get another LG again.
