LG G4 Fatality

While the LG G4's appeal to me was it's exclusivity and looks, I regret even signing that contract tonight.

Tonight my phone just died (2 hours ago from the date of the post), with your infamous "bootloop" fault and after scanning the internet for a easy solution (cause there had to be right? I know my tech) I didn't come across any official fix for the issue.

The community instead solved your problem for you, the fault laying in something on the motherboard being the culprit. It was furious having to comb through forums and threads to find out what the heck just happened to the device that holds over a year of memories that I could potentially lose forever. Then I see in January 2016 that LG has admitted that yes, there is indeed a serious hardware problem with their G4 model phones that result in it essentially becoming a brick, to no fault of the owner.

They seemed to see their error and try to correct it by offering an apology and free repairs of the device to anyone (This is where I got a little happier, then I read further...) STILL UNDER WARRANTY???
I've had my phone for close to 17 months and clearly out of that golden warranty period of 12 months, but still within my contract duration which is 24 months. So I am pretty much freaking paying for a phone that is dead thanks to a fault of a billion dollar company.

So... thanks LG, you lost a customer and my vote of confidence in the brand.
