LG G4 cell phone

On the 12 September I booked my LG G4 phone into the MTN store Cape Gate for a repair under guarantee as it kept on restarting.

The response was that “O!! We know about this as this is a general problem with the LG G4 phones” Now the question that came to mind was that if this is a known problem with the phones why did LG not recall the phones and correct the problem?? Is South Africa becoming the dumping ground for all the “problematic “products? What about the LG's other products ??
