LG G4 bootloop

Good Morning   It is with a very great disappointment and disgust in the LG G4 that I will have to take this to the media. On Friday my wife, while travelling for work discovered the wonderful “BOOTLOOP” of the LG G4. This is the problem that the LG G4 is giving at the moment. The phone doesn’t fully start up, it reboots over and over. I bought this phone for my wife for the battery life capability and all the qualities it displaced due to her work circumstances.   So after I contacted MTN and the LG store in Canal walk, who informed us that this is a manufacturing problem that they are not sure how to fix as yet but that her phone will need to be repaired and that they get this problem often. I was also told by LG that the service providers are aware of this problem, yet they fail to inform the customers (which is against the Consumer Protection Act of 2008, as they are misleading the consumer/customer)   As per the consumer protection Act:   The Consumer Protection Act recognizes 8 fundamental consumer rights, in line with the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, and United Nations Guidelines on Consumer Protection, which every consumer of goods and services is entitled to, regardless of the monetary value of a transaction or the significance of the commodity a consumer buys These rights in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, Act 68 of 2008 are: 1.    The right to equality: 2.    The right to privacy 3.    The right to choose 4.    The right to disclosure of information 5.    The right to fair and responsible marketing 6.    The right to a fair and honest dealing 7.    The right to fair, just and reasonable terms and conditions; and 8.    The right to safe and good quality goods   I have also done some more research, and by the amount of videos I watched and sites I read, I can clearly see that this a problem and I will make it my business to avoid anyone else from purchasing this product. Now I am very upset, as her phone is only 6 months and 2weeks old and apparently  the only option for me is to replace the motherboard of this phone. This is clearly a defective product as LG is fully aware of this and I don’t know why there was not a recall in place for this phone. I have been a loyal customer of MTN for almost 6 years and this is disgusting. In saying this, it is not only partially MTN but mainly this is LG’ s fault.   I would like a answer today as I am not going leave this situation as is. My wife is now without a phone and I don’t see how I can be paying for a phone that she now cannot make use of. I would appreciate if someone from management could give me a call please and inform me as to what I need to do from this point on.   Awaiting your urgent feedback     Kind Regards
