On 26/8/2012, I bought a LG 8.2kg automatic washing machine from Game at Cape Gate. I took this brand because my previous washing machine (also a LG) lasted 8 years.

On Saturday, 12/9/2015, whilst my last load was spinning, the machine broke down. I switched the machine off at the plug, not bothering to look at the display to see which error message was shown. To say that I am disappointed that my machine has lasted only 3 years will be an understatement. I contacted LG repair centre, and told me that they require a R450 call-out fee to do a diagnostic only. I am be prepared to take it to their workshop, which will cost me a R200 assessment fee. I won't be buying LG brand again, if this is how their after-sales services has deteriorated. Other repair guys charge between R0 and R200 call-out fee, to assess your machine at your home. Why does LG exploit their loyal customers like this? I used to advise everyone to buy LG, because it is a great deal, value for money etc. That won't happen anymore. I have another story to tell..
