LG are con-artists
My LG 42\ LCD TV started flickering after owning it for 7 years. (which is understandable)
I took it to LG Services in Montague Gardens (+- end of May) to see if it could be repaired before buying a new one and paid a R200 assessment fee.
After assessment I was sent a quote for an additional R1225 to complete the repair which I paid.
When I got the TV home the problem hadn't been resolved so I took it back within the 90 day repair warranty. (no offer to collect it).
After over a week of phoning LG several times (They didn't call me) I have now been told the repair would be too risky and may damage TV. I insisted on a refund and the return of my TV. I received a mail from Molly Jean Thomson saying the following:

"Assessment fee:R200.00 - Non refundable
Labour Charge: R230.00 - Non refundable
Sundries: R25.00 - Non refundable
Part: Power Supply:R970.00 -Returnable"
