Inferior Washing maschines

I bought a 12 KG F1495BDS7 LG WASHING MACHINE STEAM SILVER 2 years ago @ R11k from Hirsch. I also went that far to take out an extended warentee on this machine at an additional cost. This machine lasted just over 24 months when the drum spider mechanism failed. LG could not repair the machine as there were no spares available in the country. The machine was then replaced with an upgraded F1495BDSK6 LG WASHING MACHINE STEAM 12KG model which has not additional functions compared to the one I had and now retailing at R19k. I now had to pay in an additional amount plus another extended warentee of R3,5k. This new machine overheated on its first steam cycle and trips the earth leakage of my house. No it refuses to start at all. I have been without my machine for just under a month waiting for spares that LG could not get hold of. Now this "new"machine has not even been in my possession for longer than 24 hours and it starts like this. Why do I need to pay in for an expensive machine that failed just after 24 months and now the more expensive model with no extra features breaks down after the first wash?
