Great disappointment with LG G4

I got my LG G4 from MTN last year, July 2015. I had been satisfied with the phone's performance until March 2016 when while using my phone it just froze, switched off by itself and then proceeded to boot on its own. The phone was now stuck in a constant boot. Initially I thought that it was a battery problem and so I decided to go to MTN to see what they could do to assist me with this problem. I was informed about their cellphone repair process and the potential quote I could receive on repair. The lady who was helping me recommended that I look at alternative repair options before making a decision on who to get my phone repaired by.

Before looking at other repair options, I decided to do research online about the specific problem and I discovered that the bootloop problem was also a problem with other users who purchased LG G4s that were manufactured on and before September 2015. Based on this I contacted LG's customer care by making a Repair Inquiry through email telling them about the phone's problem and customer care came back to me saying that I should get my phone assessed by my carrier, MTN.

After receiving this reply via email I was not fully satisfied, so I decided to do some more research on LG G4's booting problems and I found online that in January 2016 LG Electronics acknowledged that there was a manufacturing fault with some LG G4s.

I am very disappointed that it seems that LG Electronics is aware of a problem with a number of LG G4s . They failed to mention this to me and to give me a solution based on this occurrence when I directly contacted them through email.
