Fridge suddenly stops cooling after two years.

An LG technician said that the fridge is irreparable because there are stuff that burnt. Because I was so confused by this, I alternatively called another technician who then said that the compressor is not running. Funny thing is that the compressor has a 10 year warranty. I then contacted the LG technician to ask why he did not mention anything about the compressor. The Technician now says that there was a leakage which eventually damaged the compressor. So what now? I should throw away the fridge? Did I really spend R17k for a product that only lasts two years? All our houses are fully equipped with LG products, so this experience does not begin to explain how disappointed I am. My family has been brand loyal for more than 20 years now. Someone please help!
