For the sake of a R50 piece of pipe - I have to buy a new R23,000 Fridge/Freezer!!!!!!!!!!

I have an LG Double door, ice and water dispensing fridge/freezer that was in perfect working order until yesterday. I found that water was leaking from the bottom of the freezer door. On inspection it was found that the small pipe that goes from the main body of the freezer, up inside the door to the water dispenser had cracked. To get a replacement for this small pipe or a repair kit, I went to the LG service agent in Longmeadow, Johannesburg.

They advised that this problem cannot be repaired and that I would have to buy a complete new door - which I felt was ridiculous! Anyway, I asked for the cost of the door and was Gobsmacked when the guy advised that the door is no longer available and I must buy a new Fridge/Freezer. This design is a joke - how can you design something where, for the sake of a R50 maximum cost piece of pipe you have to throw away an otherwise perfect condition fridge/freezer.
