Conspiracy data gravy train theory

What would Mercedes, BMW, Porche, Ferrari etc do when you return a newly purchased car that is abnormally heavy on petrol due to a manufacturers fault ? I assume they would apologise and rectify the problem cost free.....But what if these car brands were in cahoots with the petrol industry and due to this you as a motorist are forced to buy more petrol or pay to have the fault fixed...
Let’s apply the above scenario to my LG phone and service providers...Due to manufacturers fault (or conspiracy) my LG phone constantly drops the wifi signal and switches to mobile data (while I am under the impression that wifi is used) The setting for this has been disabled for some time now.But for some reason ever since the setting was disabled, the problem persists. Now it takes a restart to get back onto wifi or switch to mobile data...But then you pay the price. My service provider was so kind as to supply my IP loggings...and my suspicion was confirmed.
Long story short, I sit with a phone that will require a software upgrade to the total of R 600, for some mysterious reason this upgrade is not covered by my service provider, their excuse is that LG doesn't supply the upgrade for free...which actually means that it’s also not covered under some fine print by the manufacturer.
So maybe data is the gravy train, it just depends on how you ride it and who you share the profit with.
It has been a week almost since raising the issue with LG and still not even a whisper from their side, the sound of my debit orders going through are louder than their customer service.
Let's multiply my problem with the amount of complaints regarding data invoice surprises with only a third of all mobile phone users, and since this is only a theory you can make you own calculations.....
I like my phone, my upgrade would propably be a LG, but hell LG at least play fair – my current phone is only costing me money. Money that has a purpose on a budget - "Sorry kids, LG ate the food money..."
Kind regards

Thank you, but I received the same automated reply the previous time. The question is'nt about friendly, rather have a competent member of your service team contact me. And by the way, why do you spell service team with capitals in the middle of a sentence ?
